First, let me say that yesterday when i finally discovered this site you had, hands down, the best reporting of the day as it was happening. In addition compared to the mainstream you were really the only site that wasn't buried in MJ crapola. You were paying attention; many weren't. They had already written it of as dying out and being crushed.

Lots of fancy prewritten pieces for the day with all their fancy analysis of why this or that would be the reason it failed; based of Friday's information for the most part. Just a silly pipe dream.

I'm angry. Not for myself. I am her in the states, with plenty of time to search for info and tweet. I had news at my fingertips and learned a great deal yesterday. I learned about Iran, but I also learned a lot about cynicism and the western press. I'm angry because after ChangeForIran told us his story, in agonizingly slow tweets, the Iranian twitterers started to notice. They noticed that after the day that they had had,l after "listening" to reza's story, after all they had been through and knew that they were yet to face, after all of this, they had been, in effect, blown off as a nice but silly pipe dream by the western, hell all of the media.

There was disbelief, misery, depression and it was heartbreaking. Maybe it is a pipe dream, but it is damn well not over. It is damn unfair that on top of it all they are pushed to confirm everything for the press- that is their damn job. The press has had two weeks, get a damn source. It is more clear than ever that there were many different kinds of people in the crowds, different ages, dress, etc. Maybe it is a "young" movement online, maybe, but it is very clear that it crosses all levels of society in the crowds. Also there are countless videos, even today, of protests and conflict in other areas of Iran. Find them.

Somebody out there in the cyn. press world should know they did damage yesterday as well. Why can't just one write a nice "whatif" piece instead of being so sure and so ready to keep us all grounded. What about just a little dreaming.

Yes, it is a way out there dream, but then the "Oh so worldly press" has already been wrong again and again. You know what tweeting does that matters. It's not just getting the info out it's being heard, being listened to by someone who can at least see the possibilities: it is support and two-way information flow,it is acknowledgement, and it is real.

I have a dream now that someday, in the far far future, we as citizens of the world can communicate with each other, solve our differences without all the middlemen: the press and our posturing, money-grubbing, governments, and those tireless self-aggrandizing anaylists.
