That is what I hope for, but I have little faith in most of the opposition leadership, because of their position within the regime. I'm not convinced that they are prepared to go "all the way", so to speak. My biggest concern is that the opposition and the government will come to an agreement that is mostly beneficial to the power brokers and to the people.

This is a total rumor. They are walking a fine line between organizing and promoting the reform movement and the resistance / protest movement and staying on the strict other side of the law.

It seems that the government and the prosecutors are itching for an excuse to put them behind bars, and as such they have to chose their move and words carefully. I don't think any of the people feels distanced from Khatami, Karoubi, Mousavi camp.

Now the same can not be said of Rafsanjani, who has played hot / cold with the people. He needs to step into the fold, or face criticism later when the reform movement succeeds.

I wonder where Moussavi, Karroubi (and to a lesser degree) Khatami have been in all of this? I'm beginning to think that they might be distancing themselfs from the people.
