The whole rhetoric by Iran are lies, but save one thing: They are seeking atomic bombs and WMDs in any way they can. They lie of course all the time and I think the West is just beginning to learn not to trust them. Iranian people are united in not believing their lies. Today one of the leading figures, Haddad Adel, came out and said a bunch of lies again about numbers killed and the truthfulness of the elections. We know he knows himself that he lies, they think they are fooling the people and some of their Basij followers and the illiterates are going to accept what lies they say. But they are even wrong on that score. Very few people believe them and fewer believe in them. We need read leadership to get better structured to get rid of this scourge of humanity in the name of IRI. Period.

@ Somebody

Iran has indeed uranium mines, near Yazd and Bandar Abbas (according to German TV). They produce an annual capacity of 71 tons, but only 0.7 percent of them is the necessary nuclear U235 variety: http://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/meldung120940.html
This uranium needs a long process of enrichment, until it contains 3.5 percent of U235, suitable for a nuclear power plant (90 percent for nuclear bombs).
As far as I remember there are also uranium mines in Eastern Iran, near Kerman (just found this source): http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/iran/mines.htm

[...[1645 GMT: Why the Government Response is a Bluff. While Western media quickly seizes on the Government’s declaration of 10 new enrichment plants, consider this: the immediate problem for Iran is not enrichment capacity but the lack of uranium stock. The response to the IAEA resolution means little unless Tehran can establish new lines of uranium supply.[...]

Really? I had always thought that there were uranium mines in Iran. Although testing that belief now with a quick internet search, I couldn't find much information. Does anyone know more about this?

How history recurs. About 30 years ago the IRI snubbed Jimmy Carter by keeping the hostages, today it snubbed El Baradei by announcing the construction of ten new enrichment plants. They have learnt nothing, and they never will.

Meanwhile Bassiji forces are also guaranteed a share in looting Iran's factories:
http://www.roozonline.com/english/news/newsitem/article/2009/november/29//basij-divided-into-military-and-political-divisions.html

And Dutch parliament has asked to put the IRGC on EU's list of terroristic organizations: http://www.peykeiran.com/Content.aspx?ID=10042

the government just announced that it is closing schools on 14 Azar and they were already closed on 15 Azar. That makes for a 4 day holiday before the 16 Azar protests.

RE: -8:13 GMT "No mention, however, in the Press TV article that Larijani has been a determined foe of the Government’s strategy and that this could be part of a broader Parliamentary challenge to President Ahmadinejad."

Iran MPs urge government to reduce IAEA cooperation
TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran's parliament urged President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government on Sunday to submit a plan on reducing its cooperation level with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The move came two days after the U.N. nuclear watchdog voted to rebuke Iran for building a uranium enrichment plant in secret.
