Despite regime desperate effort in preventing people from entering Qom by closing all roads to the city, eye witnesses report an estimated one million plus stormed the city to celebrate Montazeri’s freedom from oppression and demand their freedom by shouting “death to the dictator”. Thousands of people were stopped by the regime thugs and never made to Qom. The funeral in the mosque was shut down by the regime.

do we have any higher position than imam in islam?
i mean if khomeini despite of all the crimes he committed is an imam montazeri should be at least grand imam or something like that.
i never called khomeini imam but gladly will be the first to call montazeri imam.
he was the only person who ahd the guts to stand up and speak on behalf of all the victims of caravan of deaths( with rafsenjani as the supervisor) during mousavi's time as prime minister and if i am not mistaking khatami was minister of vice (ershad?)???
hereby i suggest imamship for montazeri.
