The three devices exploded between 6:50 and 7:04 p.m. local time.

India's NDTV is reporting three explosions in Mumbai on Wednesday evening during rush hour, local time. Two were in South Mumbai at Opera House and in Zaveri Bazaar and one in central Mumbai at Dadar West.

Reports said six people had died in the Dadar blast and four in the Zaveri Bazaar explosion. Government sources put the number of injured at 60 --- eyewitnesses said about 15 to 20 people have taken to hospital in Zaveri Bazaar, which is near the famous Mumbadevi temple.

The Home Ministry has confirmed a terrorist attack, and Mumbai is on high alert.

The Dadar West explosion has been confirmed as a car bomb at a bus stop in Dadar West. NDTV is now saying a car was involved in the Opera House explosion. The explosives in the Zaveri Bazaar inciden have been reported as "behind a hoarding", "in a meter box in a shop", and now by the Mumbai Police Commissioner as "in an umbrella". An unexploded bomb was also reportedly been found in Dadar and is being defused.
More than 50 were killed in two bombings in Zaveri Bazaar in 2002.  In November 2008, attackers struck hotels and local shops in Mumbai, slaying 166.
