Syria, Yemen, Libya (and Beyond) LiveBlog: Just Another Manic Friday?

1935 GMT: A hospital official has said that Suzanne Mubarak, wife of ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, suffered a heart attack Friday after she was questioned over corruption allegations (see 1302 GMT).

Hosni Mubarak was hospitalised with heart problems soon after he was summoned for questioning last month.

1930 GMT: Libya State TV has broadcast an audio statement by leader Muammar Qaddafi, denying he is injuring. He condemns the NATO attack on his Tripoli compound, saying he is "in a place where you can't reach me".

(The announcer responds after the audio, "Yes, oh Brother Leader, the millions are with you and are behind you.")

2125 GMT: Witnesses in Oman say soldiers and police have moved into protest camps in the capital of Muscat and the southern city of Salalah, arresting dozens of demonstrators calling for reforms.

The witnesses say there were no serious injuries in the raids.

Syria Snapshot: The Sniper's Story

In Wednesday's LiveBlog, we posted an audio from France24, reportedly of a member of a special unit of the Syrian security forces. The man describes orders he and his colleagues received before they were sent to suppress anti-regime protests in a suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus on 29 April.

Syria, Libya (and Beyond) LiveBlog: Clampdown

1910 GMT: Ali Tarhouni, the Minister of Finance of the Libyan opposition's National Transitional Council, says he is meeting with Obama Administration officials to establish a line of credit.

Tarhouni was a University of Washington lecturer until March, when he returned to opposition- held Libya.

1832 GMT: The Bahraini regime has expelled the Reuters correspondent, Frederik Richter, who had been based in the capital Manama since 2008.

Officials said Reuters had lacked balance in its reporting but could name another correspondent for accreditation by the Ministry of Information.

1745 GMT: Syrian authorities have blocked a United Nations humanitarian team from visiting the southern town of Deraa where hundreds are said to have been killed in the regime crackdown.

In Homs, occupied by the military over the weekend, snipers have reportedly been posted on the rooftops of public and private buildings.
