  1. Adam says:

Can somebody please explain what is happening in the last video? What are the students chanting and who is up there?

  2. Somebody says:

    @ Adam:

I have no idea who’s up there or what he’s trying to get at but here’s what they’re chanting in the last two videos, which appear to be from the same event:

    “doorbeenaro khamoosh kon”
    = “turn off the cameras”

Apparently, they have started to point cameras towards the students in auditoriums in order to intimidate them into remaining silent. I guess it’s not working.

“[arabic I think] marg bar in dolateh mardom farib”
= “death to this government that deceives [?] people”

    “mozdoor boro gom sho”
    = “get lost you mercenary”

    “basiji vahshi shodeh”
= “the basij has has turned wild and savage [it's more insulting in farsi]”

“toop tank basiji, digar assar nadarad”
= “guns, tanks and the basij no longer have an effect”

  3. Anthony says:

I think the last two vids are protests against Saffar Harandi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hossein_Saffar_Harandi

  4. Scott Lucas says:

I did some checking on two of the five videos claimed to be from Khaje Nasir University. I suspect, as Anthony picked up, that they were mislabeled and are from the 19 October protest at Tehran University against Government official Saffar Harandi. For the sake of accuracy, I have removed them.

    Apologies for the error,

    S.
