Today Illinois, Tomorrow the World....
Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 16:00
I've just finished speaking to the BBC World Service's Newshour about the arrest of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich on allegations that he tried to sell the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama. Interestingly, the focus of Newshour was on US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, the high-profile prosecutor who put Daily Telegraph owner Conrad Black and Dick Cheney's right-hand man "Scooter" Libby behind bars.
The interview can now be heard on the Newshour website via the Wednesday 1300 GMT link. It's near the end of the programme, about 3/4 of the way along the audio bar.

The same Patrick Fitgerald who was criticized as being a partisan Democrat when he prosecuted Scooter Libby and Tubby Black?
