It's not only The Enduring America Fan Club that's making a splash over on Facebook. More than 12,000 people have joined a group in honour of Muntazar al-Zaidi.

Mosaic Alert: Arab Reaction to Shoe Attack on Bush

Immature
Do you mean the original action or the facebook group?
Both. He should have left his shoes at the front door and kept his piety. He should read his Koran.
Facebook is just another anti-Bush platform.
What has the Koran got to do with any of this and what qualifies you to give this guy advice? He has quite cleverly punctured the self-importance of the leading representative of his country's occupying power. Given the demonstrations and political fallout across Iraq in the wake of this, its also clear that he articulated what a number of Iraqis are feeling, and that their political institutions haven't represented this. What is immature in all of this is the reaction of the Iraqi security officers and government, who clearly overstepped the bounds in beating him just after the event and in continuing to hold him now.
Facebook is a platform for everything and anything; to tar it with one political viewpoint is not representative of reality.
The vast majority of Facebook users are under 30. That says it all...
Reciting a statistic or opinion about the average age of a group of people says nothing...
