US Politics Video: Campainin' in Sweet Home Alabama

Sometimes I am mighty proud to call myself an Alabama boy. This is not one of those times.

First, the real campaign video from Dale Peterson, who is running for Agriculture Commissioner on a platform of love for his horse, a defence of family farms, and a promise to shoot "illegals". Then the not-so-real (but necessarily so humourous) version from Funny or Die.

Yeah, people from Alabama are crazy. I wish we were less backwards, like UK politicians http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsnSZnhygQY" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsnSZnhygQY

Tea Party is BNP-lite. UKIP to be generous.

Thanks so much Scott, I was literally tearing up from laughter. My face is really flushed right now.

Just when I was getting a complex from being embarrassed for my own state, and "complete the danged fence" McCain, too.

The "Big John" (Cornyn) convention vid has just been eclipsed.

Scott - sorry but would you clarify which was the real deal and which was the spoof? Strom Thurmond and the other good ol' boys of yesteryear would be proud. Yi ha.
