I guess someone forgot to tell al-Qaeda's no. 2 that the president-elect is a secret Muslim.

"The message also includes old footage of speeches by Malcolm X in which he explains the term, saying black slaves who worked in their white masters' house were more servile than those who worked in the fields. Malcolm X used the term to criticize black leaders he accused of not standing up to whites."
Ayman al-Zawahri said in the message, which appeared on militant Web sites, that Obama is "the direct opposite of honorable black Americans" like Malcolm X, the 1960s African-American rights leader.
In al-Qaida's first response to Obama's victory, al-Zawahri also called the president-elect _ along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice _ "house negroes."
Al-Zawahri said Obama's election has not changed American policies he said are aimed at oppressing Muslims and others ----> (RACISM AGAINST BLACK AMERICANS AND THIRD WORLD PEOPLES OF COLOR)

This is interesting stuff here on "house-negroes." Zawhiri states that US policies can never change if America is led by a "good house negro." With the reference to good house negro, Zawhiri sees the following:
1. Great black leaders have been to jail -- ALL of them. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, etc. Zawhiri is saying that Obama is a stooge of the whites. And if he's black and hasn't been to jail, he doesn't have leadership quality. All black folk who are great leaders -- ones that know how to lead -- go to jail. That's where America puts them. Barack Obama has never been in jail.
2. America says, "Look at Barack. He's a good negro. It would be great if every negro was like Barack." The American people make Barack an example of what a "good" negro is/should be. And they say to Jesse Jackson and to Al Sharpton - "If you become like Barack, we'll vote for you too!" Because Jackson and Sharpton have been to jail. They are rebels.
3. For Zawhiri, being a good negro like Barack simply means selling out. And the Americans can say "See? We can feel good about ourselves now. We will make this "good" negro our president, and we no longer have to feel any guilt about our past." Obama, Rice, and Powell are of the same mold. They are more servile, so they work in the house (The White House). Malcolm X, MLK and Garvey are like those slaves who worked in the fields (like the slaves in the fields that Zawahiri mentions) -- because they were rebels.
For Zawahiri, the mark of a true black leader is one of struggle -- the struggle against the things that America really stands for -- IMPERIALISM and RACISM -- i.e. Blacks, Palestinians, etc. So according to Zawhiri, Obama can't be an "honorable" black American. And so US policy won't change.
