Bahrain Feature: Updated List of 68 Killed Since February 2011

Ali MushaimaA Bahraini activist, Mohammad Ashoor, has updated his list of those who have died from violence in Bahrain since the start of mass protests on 14 February 2011. The list does not appear to include five policemen who have also died in clashes, according to the report of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry:

1. Martyr Ali Mushaima - 14 February 2011 - Killed by birdshot in Al Daih

 2. Martyr Fadhil Salman Al Matrook - 15 February 2011 - Killed by birdshot during the funeral of martyr Ali Mushaima

3. Martyr Ali Mansoor Khudair - 17 February 2011 - Killed by birdshot during the first Lulu (Pearl Roundabout) attack

4. Martyr Mahmood Abu Taki - 17 February 2011 - Killed by birdshot during the first Lulu attack

5. Martyr Ali Mo'men - 17 February 2011 - Killed near Lulu and left to die on the street
 near Al Gufool traffic lights

6. Martyr Isa Abdul Hussain - 17 February 2011 - Killed by splitting his head open near SMC (Salmaniya Medical Centre) 

7. Martyr A. Redha Bu Hameed - 19 February 2011 - Killed by live rounds near Lulu

8. Martyr Fadk Mushaima (infant) - 27 February 2011 - Born dead after her mother's grief on relative martyr Ali Mushaima

9. Martyr Ali Ebrahim Damistani - 13 March 2011 - Regime thugs chased him near Lulu in his car and he hit a barricade that they set up resulting in death

10. Martyr Ahmed Farhan - 15 March 2011 - Direct shot to the head split his head open in Sitra

11. Martyr Jafar Mohammed Salman - 16 March 2011 - Shot dead in the 2nd Lulu attack
 by army

12. Martyr Ahmed Abdullah Al Arnoot - 16 March 2011 - Killed by birdshot in the 2nd Lulu attack

55. Martyr Salma A. Mohsen Abbas - 14 January 2012 - Suffocated from tear gas in Barbar

56. Martyr Yaseen Jassim Al Asfoor - 20 January 2012 - Suffocated from tear/toxic gas in Al Ma'ameer and struggled in hospital for a month before he was martyred

57. Martyr Mohammed Al Khunaizi - 20 January 2012 - Suffocated from tear/toxic gas in al Meqsha

58. Martyr Abbas Al Shaikh - 25 January 2012 - Got hit in many occasions with birdshot and once with a sound bomb in his back. He needed to replace his blood but the government delayed it, death is believed to be because of "blood cancer"

59. Martyr Saeed Al Sekri - 25 January 2012 - Suffocated from toxic/tear gas in A'ali

60. Martyr Muntadhar Fakhr - 25 January 2012 - Got hit in his car by police in Jidhafs, then police arrested him and tortured him to death.

61. Martyr Mohammed Ebrahim Yaghoob - 25 January 2012 - Run over by police while trying to protect women, arrested and tortured before being left in SMC to die of his wounds.

62. Martyr Zahra'a Al Hawaj - 1 February 2012 - Suffocation from toxic/tear gas in Noaim that hospitalised her for week before she died.

63 . Martyr Abdali Abdullah - 1 February 2012 - Suffocation from toxic/tear gas in Ma'ameer. 

64. Martyr Ali Al Hayki - 6 February 2012 - Suffocation from toxic/tear gas in Samaheej 

65. Martyr Hussain Al Baqali - 17 February 2012 - Suffered from severe burns...and did not go to a hospital for fear of arrest until his health deteriorated and caused his death

66. Mansoor Salman Hasan - 17 February 2012 - Suffocation from toxic/tear gas in Sitra
