A suicide bomber detonated his explosives amongst a crowd of worshippers in a Pakistan mosque this morning, killing at least 51 people and wounding more than 100. The attack took place near the Afghanistan border in the Bigiari area of Jamrod sub-division in Khyber Agency.

Breaking News: Suicide Bombings in Iraq, Pakistan

In the northern Iraq town of Jalawla, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the funeral of the father of Kurdish regional government official Hameed Khudadat, killing at least 25 people and wounding 45.

Eight people were killed and 10 wounded in a bombing west of Baghdad, while a suicide bomber killed a policeman and wounded eight in Tal Afar.

In Pakistan, a suicide bomber walked up to a station of the special intelligence branch of the Islamabad police and blew himself up, killing an officer. Geo News report a total of three dead. Two police officers were critically wounded.

It is the second suicide bombing in the area in a week.

Breaking News: Suicide Bomb in Western Baghdad

In Iraq, 33 people have been killed and 46 wounded in a suicide bomb attack in in the Abu Ghraib section of Baghdad.

There are conflicting reports over the target: Al Jazeera is reporting that a group of dignitaries, including army officers, were visiting the market at the time; CNN reports that the bomber was trying to strike a municipal building where tribal leaders were meeting. Journalists, police personnel, and soldiers are amongst the dead; the BBC is reporting that an army chief has been slain.

Breaking News: 28 Killed in Suicide Bombing in Iraq

A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a police recruitment centre in eastern Baghdad on Sunday, killing 28 and injuring 57.

Eight police were amongst those killed.
