I dont know whether you have the translation of this interview or not. But I hope this would be useful.
Karrubi's son in this interview says: ' as my father had promised people to participate in any protest, he joined the rally around 10:30 which was welcomed by the people. Even though, on the night before, he was adviced from the governemnt and the inteligent service not to take part in the rally as there was a possiblity of a suicide bombing attack; but my father insisted on going even if it resulted in his death. People started shouted some slogans as they saw my dad, meanwhile the security forces were throwing tear gases at people and one of them tried to shot my dad with one of the tear gas bullet, this hit one of the body guards which then was transfered to Hospital.'

His reputation is as very brave kindly man who simply cannot stop himself speaking about what he seees to be true. It is a witness to how repressive the regime is that they see him as a threat. Protestors do need to be careful though, the brital ruling elite in Iran are steadily following the path of Josef Stalin. There have been show trials and night raids. All the pieces are falling in place. They need to think and prepare an escape route if things get worse.

Do people realise how only candidates approved by th Guardian Council can stand for election in Iran (like nobody who will ask difficult questions) and that real power lies with the Supreme Leader who was appointed not elected. Imagine George or Obama had been imposed in USA, Neither is the Supreme leader imited to two terms of office.

I do fight against our illegal government in Iran. They have no principals and I do not expect any codes related to human being from them. What really is annoying and irritating is the compromising tones which we are hearing from west.
I think western world is worried only about their short term interest, such as nuclear power in Iran. But the movement in Iran, torture, rapes etc..... is subject to compromise for westerners.

As an Iranian activist, who is fighting for democracy and human rights in Iran, I am loosing my trust for you guys.

Bearing in mind that we have not forgotten the role of MI6 and CIA in removal of our beloved prime minister Dr, Mossadeq, resulting over 50 years of misery for our people in Iran.

I cannot understand your logic behind invasion of Iraq and compromising policy against Iran???!!!!

Iranian people fighting for human rights and democracy, fighting for a peaceful world. fighting for a stable and peaceful region with respect for other nations. I know that we have been supported by people all around the world, but I hardly found any Government or any power, acting with responsibility and care.

We in Iran lack democracy, but you in west lack political morals.

Please do not lose faith in the West, just as your regime does not represent the people of Iran, our governments are under attack from us every day to support the people of Iran much more. Whilst I agree Western governments are guilty of short-termist politics, many are also reluctant to actually interfere with any form of action as they know proud Persians want to remain as independent as possible.

This is why we only hear statements condemning the regime, and we also know that if any action was taken by Western Governments, the regime would use this against them.

We wish the UN, Amnesty + EU could have more teeth, and that we could all be on the streets with you, but we THE PEOPLE of Western Governments just as you in Iran now will be here long after these present politicians. We have seen, and are seeing, every day, that we can all work together in our own ways to bring atrocities to the attention of the world's people who will work tirelessly towards change.

It will not be easy, it will not be quick, but we may have the basis of a better Eastern and Western world because of the lessons we are learning right now.
